The Colonel Lamb The Colonel Lamb was built in 1863 in Liverpool England. Designed to run the Union blocades during Americas Uncivil War, she was one of the fastest ships of her day. The model is just over four feet in length. Powered by a twin cylinder oscillating engine, driving feathering paddles. The boiler is a scotch double back design. The burner system runs on butane is regulated to maintain boiler pressure. Plan sets are offered at $250 and include all drawings for both hull and machinery. |
